LONDON - Rock legend Jerry Lee Lewis couldn’t believe his eyes when John Lennon knelt down to kiss his feet, when they met in the 1970s.

Lennon thanked Lewis for making the musical scenario favourable for band like the Beatles when they met backstage at The Roxy in Los Angeles.

The Daily Express quoted the piano great as telling GQ magazine: “He kissed my feet. I had no idea he was going to do that. My boy was there, Junior. He said, ‘Dad, dad, is that John Lennon?’

“I said, ‘Yes it is John Lennon.’ He done (sic) it, and he said, ‘I just wanted you to know you are the man who made it possible for me to be a star in rock ‘n’ roll music.’

“I just kind of froze. Nobody has ever done that.” (ANI)
