Jones Off Life Support

Actress MAGGIE JONES has been taken off life support - but remains in intensive care in hospital.

The 75-year-old, who stars in long running U.K. soap Coronation Street, was rushed to the Hope Hospital in Manchester, England after suffering a tumble at her home on Sunday (11Oct09).

She was forced to undergo major stomach surgery after she was admitted.

Jones has since shown “a bit of progress” - and her Corrie co-star Bill Tarmey is praying she recovers.

He says, “My beautiful Maggie. She is a delight, she is wonderful and I am just hoping she will be okay. We just sit and laugh together and I need her to get better otherwise I will be sitting on my own.”
