LONDON - Brazilian footballer Cristiano Ronaldo has replaced English soccer star David Beckham as the model for Emporio Armani’s underwear range.

The Los Angeles Galaxy midfielder has been setting pulses racing in sizzling advertisements for the fashion house for four years but designer Giorgio Armani announced Friday that Ronaldo would be taking over from the ageing star, reports dailystar.co.uk.

The Portuguese ace will be the “new official worldwide testimonial” for the label’s ‘Men’s Underwear and Armani Jeans’ lines and the promotional posters will debut next spring-summer.
