Boreanaz Was Danson’s Doppelganger

DAVID BOREANAZ looks so much like TED DANSON he gained access to nightclubs by pretending to be the star.

The 40-year-old Bones actor is 21 years younger than Danson - but he still managed to be taken seriously when he told bar bosses he was the Cheers star.

And Boreanaz became so fixated on VIP treatment he refused to give up the act when ageing Danson’s hair turned grey - instead, he pretended to be the Hollywood star’s son.

He says, “In college I would pretend I was a celebrity to get into bars. (I pretended to be) Ted Danson (or) Ted Danson’s son. I greased my hair back… when I went to Los Angeles it was amazing how it worked… They would whisk us in and we’d be wined and dined.”
