London body art fest set to break world record

LONDON - World’s biggest body art festivals- the International London Tattoo Convention-being hosted in Britain is proving to be a big hit among tattoo lovers, who hope to create a world record this year.
Thousands of tattoo fans from all over the world will show each other their etchings at the festival, and many will seize the opportunity to get some new images carved out by some of the world’s finest tattooists.
“This is perhaps the best tattoo convention anywhere, and it’s getting better by the year,” the Daily Star quoted celebrity tattooist Dan Gold, from Discovery Channel TV show London Ink, as saying.
“The best tattooists in the world are here and people are queueing round the block for the chance to be inked by them,” he added.
In fact, the organisers are hoping to make history today by setting a new Guinness world record for the most number of people tattooed simultaneously.
Strict Guinness judges have ruled everyone must be at the same venue, being marked at the same moment.
And with 210 artists at the show in East London’s Tobacco Dock, organisers are optimistic that they will succeed.
“It’s going to be a logistical challenge but we’re all certainly up for the cup,” said one.
The event, which continues tomorrow, promises to be a major draw and tattoo fans can’t wait to get a pierce of the action. (ANI)
