Grieving Common Thanks Fans For Support

Rapper/actor COMMON has thanked his fans for their support as he struggles to come to terms with the tragic death of his cousin.

Ajile Turner died after his motorcycle collided with a cyclist on the streets of Brooklyn, New York on Friday night (18Sep09).

Both men were pronounced dead upon arrival at hospital - and Common admits the past few days have been “tough” for his family.

In a post on his blog, he writes, “Man, I want to thank each and every person who sent their love and condolences about my cousin, Ajile Turner.

“It has definitely been a tough time for me and my family, but as GOD always does he assures us that everything will be alright. I believe that you all’s (sic) support is just another way of assuring it.

“I thank you once again. God Bless.”

Turner was founder and CEO of the Echelon Group, an independent concert production company.
