Clooney wants to direct Matt Damon

LONDON - Oscar winning actor George Clooney wants to direct Matt Damon in a new movie called Hamdan v Rumsfeld, about Osama bin Laden’s former chauffeur.

The actor has singled out Matt, with whom he previously starred in Syriana, to star in the film, reports femalefirst.co.uk.

“It’s about the so called ‘War On Terror’, but set in a courtroom, said Clooney.

The film will follow the plight of the chauffeur, who was captured in Afghanistan and shipped to the notorious US detention centre Guantanamo Bay in Cuba.

Matt will play his lawyer, who eventually manages to take his case as far as the US Supreme Court.
