Campaigning Hollywood star MIA FARROW is heading to Africa to visit refugees uprooted by conflict.
Farrow, a longtime spokesperson for those affected by conflict in the Darfur region of Sudan, is turning her attention to other affected parts of the continent - on a UNICEF-backed trip.
She reveals, “I’m heading for Cameroon where there are 250,000 refugees from CAR (Central African Republic), DRC (Democratic Republic of Congo), Chad, Nigeria, Cote d’Ivoire (Ivory Coast), Liberia, Guinea and other countries.
“The influx of refugees has placed a burden on impoverished host populations. This is why UNICEF invited me to come.”
