Sept 14 (IBNS)Fashion is something that everyone wears. It happens
either by choice or by accident. And sometimes all it takes is a
celebrity wearing a piece of cloth and stating it be the coolest stuff
on earth.
Fish and festivals are not exactly the reason why people are bawling
to purchase replica of Boggy Bayou Mullet Festival T-shirt online,
this piece of cloth has been made famous by television.
The trend was sparked by HBO during the second season of their
original “true Blood” series during which the faded vintage T-shirt
was displayed.
It was the third episode of the second season of the most sought after
show and as eyeballs remained glued to the TV sets, Sam Merlotte,
shape fitter and bar owner, sported a faded ‘Third Annual Boggy Bayou
Mullet festival” shirt.
While many CafePress and other design-your-own clothing sites sell the
shirts for more than dollars 20. Niceville City Manager Lanny Corbin
said, “I look back now at all those shirts I had and wish I had kept
every one of them.”
Corbin got phone calls and e-mails from friends as soon as they saw
the shirt on HBO. A T-shirt also has made a sudden appearance on the
much watched CBS comedy “How I Met Your Mother.”
