N-dubz Star’s Criminal Past

A member of British drum ‘n’ bass act N-DUBZ has a secret criminal background - DAPPY was convicted for spitting in a woman’s face during a drunken brawl.

Dappy - real name Costas Contostavlos - was handed a suspended jail term by a court in December (08), after pleading guilty to two counts of assault.

Contostavlos was enjoying a night out with pals in Essex, south England last year when he met up with a female fan and headed back to her hostel.

He got into a fight with another woman living at the property and the fan slapped him and spat in his face - so the star retaliated by spitting back at her.

The women called police and Contostavlos was charged with assault.

During a hearing at Chelmsford Magistrates Court, Essex, he was sentenced to four weeks’ imprisonment for each count, suspended for 12 months, and 100 hours community service. He was ordered to pay $75 (£50) compensation and $450 (£300) costs.
