Bisley Charged With Assault

Australian actor STEVE BISLEY has been charged with assaulting his ex-wife.

The Mad Max star was arrested following an altercation at a property in Balmain, Sydney on Sunday night (06Sep09) and will appear in court next Wednesday (16Sep09).

Police were called to the home of Sally Burleigh following an argument between the former couple, and confirmed a 42-year-old woman was allegedly assaulted during the incident.

Bisley’s solicitor Sophie Twoomey says the actor “strongly denied the allegations and does not agree with the description of events”.

The couple wed in 2000 and had two young children before they split three years later.
