All well with Sukumari

Actress Sukumari is in a stable condition. The veteran Malayalam-Tamil actress, who has been in the industry for more than 60 years and has acted in over 2,000 movies, was admitted to the NIMS hospital, Neyyatinkara, near Thiruvananthapuram on Thursday because of a sudden heart attack. According to sources, she underwent heart surgery and is recovering now. Her relatives and friends from the film industry visited her. She had recently inaugurated a function to felicitate the same hospital for carrying out free heart surgeries for the poor.
