Siamese sisters await separation
Doctors are preparing to separate conjoined twins after they were born prematurely in North Chin’a Bayi hospital. The sisters were born weighing just 11 pounds (5kgs) between them and need constant medical care to keep them alive. The pair, who have not yet been named, share some internal organs, including a liver, and the sternum bone, as well as the pleura lung cavity. (MJ/WN/LR)
