Destiny’s Child hail Spice Girls as inspiration

WASHINGTON - Singer Michelle Williams has revealed that Destiny’s Child took inspiration from the Spice Girls.

Michelle said that she, along with Beyonce Knowles, Kelly Rowland, looked up to the popular British girl band for years.

“The Spice Girls were such great role models for Destiny’s Child,” Contactmusic quoted her as telling Britain’s London Lite newspaper.

“We loved that they were a strong, female group that became a megastar brand,” she added. (ANI)
