BROWN’S KIDS BLOCK COLLABORATION WITH SQUIRE

IAN BROWN’s children are standing in the way of a STONE ROSES reunion, because they can’t forgive his ex-bandmate JOHN SQUIRE for “selling him out”.

The pair has not spoken since the band split back in 1996, despite repeated attempts to reform the Fools Gold hitmakers.

Brown reveals Squire recently reached out to him with some songs he had written for the vocalist’s next solo album - only for his children to ban him from using them.

The British singer tells The Word magazine, “It was good, sounded nice - I liked it, (but) my sons turned round and said ‘Dad, you can’t work on that. He sold you out, didn’t he?’ John’s manager asked if I liked the tune, and I said: ‘I did, but my sons won’t let me work on it’.”
