Beyonce, Solange Knowles reveal their earthquake experience in Japan

LONDON - American R ‘n’ B singer Beyonce and her sister Solange have revealed that they were in Japan when Capital Tokyo was hit by a very big earthquake on August 11.

The star siblings had just finished promoting Samantha Thavasa and Disney new handbag line at the Disneyland Hotel in Tokyo, when the 6.9 magnitude tremor hit.

Though the tremor was huge, Solange managed to sleep through it.

However, it was not the same case with Beyonce.

“My sister said she was scared out of her mind and calling my mom and I was snoring. How did I sleep through a serious earthquake?” the Mirror quoted Solange as writing on her Twitter.com page.

The epicentre of the quake is thought to have been some 200 miles southwest of the Japanese capital. (ANI)
