Viewers’ choice as champ is revealed as Fox airs finale of ‘So You Think You Can Dance’

Viewers pick their favorite on TV dance competiton

NEW YORK — Viewers say neither Kayla nor Evan can be winner of Fox network’s “So You Think You Can Dance.”

Thursday’s season conclusion began with four finalists apparently still in the running. But halfway through, Kayla was disclosed as the least popular and was booted from the competition. A few minutes later, Evan was announced as having placed third.

Viewers had submitted a total of more than 21 million votes the night before.

By the end of the broadcast, either Jeanine or Brandon will emerge as the winner of $250,000 and the title of “America’s Favorite Dancer.”
