NEW YORK - One of late King of Pop Michael Jackson’s pals has revealed that he just wanted to be a good daddy to his children, and guided them with ‘loving discipline’-something he never got as a child.

Mike La Perruque, Jacko’s long-time confidant and head of security, said that the superstar’s primary goal was to be the best daddy he could be in all the ways.

“The kids were Michael’s life. If there is anything that can be said about Michael, he was a very good father,” the New York Daily News quoted La Perruque as saying.

Jackson’s father had been inordinately harsh, and he always kept in mind that he would not be a similar dad to his own kids.

“He thought a father should be what was opposite of what he received as a child,” said La Perruque.

However, the ‘Thriller’ hit-maker realised that children need limits to help them find themselves and their place among others.

Thus, he made them understand not with a stinging belt but with quiet words, intending to help rather than hurt.

“Loving discipline. One thing he didn’t want was to spoil the children,” said La Perruque. (ANI)
