Ice Age 3 : Good Or Bad?

Ice Age 3 : The Dawn Of The Dinosaurs, the third part of the Ice Age movie series has been released today with a mix bag of responses. The much anticipated movie of the year other The Terminator: Salvation and X Men Origins: Wolverine has disappointed many with its lack luster plot. Featuring some of the most unwanted animations and a lose plot, Ice Age 3 fails to match the hype it had created prior to it’s release.
The story begins with Manny (Ray Romano) and his wife Ellie (Queen Latifah) expecting their first child. The scene doesn’t leave an impact as it seemed that Manny was trying to “baby-proof the world” for his eventual offspring.
On the other hand the saber-toothed tiger Diego (Denis Leary) realizes he is not as quick on his feet as before. This forces Sid (John Leguizamo) to start his own family. He apparently brings home three abandoned eggs (which later turns out to be those of a dinosaur). The mother eventually comes back searching for the eggs as Sid finds himself parenting three baby dinosaurs. Thus Sid accompanied with his friends arrive at a world where the last few dinosaurs are still living. Guiding them through the bushes is the one eyed weasel, Buck (Simon Pegg) who hunts dinosaurs intently.
Thus follows a string of incidents that Manny and his friends eventually overcome. The main spotlight of the film was Scrat (squirrel+rat) and his endless search for an acorn, landing him in a romance with a squirrel named Scartte.
The film lacks a compact plot and the uninspiring voice-over and animation adds more misery. The mixed response from the audience proves that Ice Age 3 failed to revive the magic of its precursors.
