Coroner’s official return to Jackson home

LOS ANGELES — An official of the Los Angeles County coroner’s office has gone inside the rented mansion where pop superstar Michael Jackson was fatally stricken last week.

Chief Investigator Craig Harvey was seen entering the estate in Holmby Hills at midday Monday, accompanied by several other people including a photographer.

The county medical examiner performed an autopsy the day after the 50-year-old entertainer died but has deferred a decision on the cause of death pending the results of tests.

Jackson’s family sought a second autopsy. His father, Joe Jackson, said earlier in the day that the private autopsy was under way and he expected results soon.
