Johnny Depp is pubilicity shy

LONDON - Hollywood superstar Johnny Depp says he is publicity shy and prefers to stay away from the public spotlight.

“I can’t think of myself in terms of celebrity. It’s just too weird. If the choice is between being gawked at and sitting in a chair in a dark room, I prefer the dark room, femalefirst.co.uk quoted Depp as saying.

Despite his glowing Hollywood credentials, the 46-year-old star insists he never sought fame and became successful by chance.

“I’ve never felt particularly ambitious or driven. Everything I’ve done has happened because it happened, he added.
