This is for the first time that sports will be featured on TV in the form of serial. Palampur express is a story of a girl who aspires to be an athlete, based in hill station Palampur. “More that a sport people will fall in love with the character because she has a drive, she is focused and everyone can relate to her”, said excited Pooja Kanwaal.

There was buzz that this show is inspired by an ad, producer Roshan Abbas confirms, “Chak de was a block-buster apparently there is a hook in sports. When Abhinav Bindra won gold, he became rage amongst everyone as if everyone wanted to become archer. Then I realized sports is really something big and wanted to do something in that, first we thought of hockey but that is already done then came this ad. Iss ad mein zaroor koi baat hai ki yeh logon ko itna pasand aa raha hai”. And then Roshan Abbas derived his formula of serial making.

Pawni’s biggest support system in chasing her dream is her childhood friend Dhruv. Dhruv lives in Delhi and has spent his childhood in Palampur. He comes back to rekindle his friendship with Pawni. So this time there will be a man behind woman’s success.   – Sampurn Media
